Friction Stir Welded
Friction welding is a solid – state welding method,
Friction welding compared with traditional welding ,the biggest difference is in the whole
welding process, is to keep the increased temperature due to the energy obtained by the metal to be welded below its melting point. That is, the metal is welded under the solid state which is similar to forging under its thermoplastic state.
As compared to conventional welding, friction welding has the advantages of higher-quality welded connections which meet the requirements of seam strength and base material strength, higher welding efficiency, stable quality, better consistency, and the realization of dissimilar metal welds.
Using friction welding for heat sinks can resolve the technical bottleneck of joining two or more materials to form high-aspect-ratio ultra-wide products. Moreover, its tooling cost is lower with a short cycle time and higher stability. Based on the data that has been accumulated by our R&D team in the long run, cgcooler thermal has developed several standard materials and we keep enhancing the database of our standard materials so as to provide our clients with more joint solutions for selection

Liquid cooling plate

1.Exposed-tube technique
This technique applies to devices to be installed on one side. Copper tubes are pressed to deform into the grooves within an aluminum plate and then a fly-cut is applied to the surface. This allows the quick removal of heat due to the high thermal conductivity of copper tubes. Meanwhile, the lightweight of aluminum can reduce the total weight and keep the cost to a reasonable extent.
2.Full-buried-tube technique
The filler is a type of highly conductive epoxy resin which is imported from the US. When the temperature difference between two sides of a device is not critical, the cold plates can be applied to either just one side or both sides of the device. Since the copper tube thickness is not affected by any secondary machining and the application safety is ensured due to the protection of the filler, this technique is especially suitable for cold plate applications which use refrigerant as the cooling medium.
3.Half-buried techniques
This technique is suitable for the combination of copper plate + copper tubes. It can reduce the plate thickness and generate the weight reduction effect.
4.Sandwiched-tube technique
There are tubes between two plates and this technique is simple with lower cost. The combination could be aluminum plate + aluminum tubes/copper tubes/SUS tubes.

Skived Fin Heatsink
Skived Fin heat sinks can be an alternative to extruded heat sinks when looking for a fin density which can’t be achieved by extrusion technology. Leading the heat innovation innovation high density ,high performance, high aspect ratio, excellent performance.
Applied to Communication, UPS, inverter, controller, wind power converter, SVG telecommunication.
Skived fin heat sinks
When passing through the machine, slabs are skived in a specific angle so as to form and bend the fins. With the repetitive cutting, it forms consistent gaps and structures and can be used for cooling high-power devices under air-cooled conditions. This process can enhance 8~15% of the cooling capacity as compared to the stitched fin process.
