Introduction of Press-Fit Tube Cold Plates
The Press-Fit Tube Cold Plate (also known as Embedded Tube Cold Plate) is a type of cold plate radiator featuring the simplest structure, low cost and excellent reliability among liquid cooling solutions. Its core manufacturing process is as follows: metal heat conduction tubes (generally copper tubes or stainless steel tubes) are mechanically pressed and embedded into pre-grooves on aluminum or copper base plates. Cooling liquid (water, ethylene glycol or deionized water) flows inside the tubes. The base plate is attached to heat-generating components including IGBTs, CPUs and laser chips. Heat is transferred from the components to the base plate, then to the tube wall, and finally carried away by the cooling liquid.
